12 Apr 21 MAY – CMDL’s Big Band plays Herbie Hancock
Cmdl’s Big Band re-arranges and plays the repertoire of one of the most influent musicians on the current jazz scene : Herbie Hancock. Author of some of the most important themes in modern jazz to the point of becoming new “standards”, he is one of the pioneers of the electronic violin making and the fusion of the jazz with the more recent currents of the African-American music.
Conduct by Stéphane Guillaume and Claude Egéa, the students from Le Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood forms a large Jazz orchestra: talents swarm to greet the great Herbie Hancock!
