The voice as an instrument occupies a central place in the musical genres at the origin of the jazz, such as the songs of work of the slaves and the laments of the blues guitarists. From scat to vocalises, vocal jazz is now a must. We know some great names in jazz known for their impressive vocals, from Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone to Cab Calloway, Ray Charles and Nat King Cole.
1st part: The voices of the CMDL
The singing class of Manu Domergue lends itself to the game of a capella polyphony or accompanied by bass and drums. These seven singers with unique timbre will mix their talents to pay tribute to vocal jazz.
