The CMDL moves to the Bois Briard farm
In September 2023, the CMDL moved to the Bois Briard farm in Evry-Courcouronnes. The jazz and improvised music school moved into premises that had been completely renovated by Grand Paris Sud to provide students with exceptional facilities.
GRAND PARIS SUD cultural hub
It is now part of a cultural hub comprising the CMDL, a theater school (EDT91), a school of plastic/visual arts, and a 350-seat auditorium. The Didier Lockwood Music Center is open seven days a week from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m., allowing for true freedom of work. It is located 1 km from the University of Evry Paris-Saclay.
- 9 large classrooms and workshops,
- 12 work labs,
- 1 masterclass room – Jazz club with 120 seats,
- 1 permanent studio,
- 1 cafeteria,
- and high-quality equipment and instruments, thanks to partnerships with YAMAHA, TAMA, and BAY CUSTOM DRUMS.
