FRÉDÉRIC LOISEAU
Born in Tours in 1964, Frédéric Loiseau first studied economics before pursuing a musical education at the Guitar Institute of Technology in Los Angeles, where he trained with Joe Pass and Joe Diorio. After returning to France in 1989, he refined his craft with Dave Liebman and John Abercrombie, while building a career as both a musician and educator, notably teaching at the Didier Lockwood Music Center.
In 2007, he released his debut album, “Red Shoes”, which was highly acclaimed by critics and earned a nomination at the Django d’Or awards. He has since been involved in numerous projects, including the Pee Bee ensemble and the Chamber Jazz Quintet, and has recorded several albums under his own name, such as “Smile” (2014).
Frédéric Loiseau has collaborated with renowned artists such as Sheila Jordan, Natalie Dessay, Laurent Naouri, Guillaume de Chassy, and many others. He is also the artistic director of projects dedicated to Barbara and Georges Brassens.
Recognized for his versatility and talent for arrangements, he continues to explore new musical horizons through concerts and recordings in France and internationally.
