HISTORY OF JAZZ

This course should provide a general knowledge of the evolution of jazz music from African origins to the present day; situate the main trends and styles in their respective socio-historical context; identify the characteristic components of these styles when listening to and reading scores.

But also to open students to a deeper reflection on music in the context of artistic creation.

This course is in the form of a master class whose themes are chosen by the speakers in collaboration with the teaching team.

MAO, STUDIO, SOUND SYSTEM, SOUND TECHNIQUES

The aim of this course is to give today’s musicians knowledge of computers, which have become an essential tool. Students tackle the different musical applications (editing scores, instrumental practice training, audio recordings of demos). This course also allows you to understand how to sound your voice or instrument on stage and to approach recording, sound processing and mixing in a recording studio.

PROFESSIONAL ENVIRONMENT

This course should allow you to better understand the challenges and understand the professional environment of the musician

It is structured around several modules relating to communication, career management and risks.

It also allows you to manage your career more effectively: design of brochures for canvassing, posters, flyers, press reviews, management of personal site…
