TRUMPET – CLAUDE EGEA

After studying at the University of Toulouse, Claude Egea became a member of the Orchestre National du Capitole de Toulouse from 1982 to 1991, before joining the Orchestre National de Jazz until 1996. During this period, he participated as a musician for several television shows such as Sacré soirée, Fa si la chanter or Sous vos applause.

He was a member of the group Captain Mercier with André Charlier and Benoît Sourisse, and was also a member of Patrice Caratini’s Jazz ensemble or Martial Solal’s New Decaband. He also had the opportunity to perform as a solo trumpet player for Michel Legrand, where he shared the bill with Quincy Jones, Stéphane Grappelli and Diana Ross.

Among the other artists he accompanies, we note tours with Henri Salvador, Francis Cabrel, Zaz, Sanseverino, and recordings for Charles Aznavour, Charles Trenet, Zaz, Francis Cabrel, Films by Claude Lelouch or once again here Michel Legrand.

He is currently a trumpet teacher at the CMDL (Didier Lockwood Music Center), a substitute at Hamburg Radio, and a trumpeter for the Multiquarium Big Band of Charlier/Sourisse.
