The CMDL is in residence in a castle, located in the heart of the park of L’Abbaye du Lys in Dammarie-Lès-Lys. This building’s facilities offers reception and operating possibilities of very high quality, in an incomparable comfort and setting. The Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood is open 7 days a week and until 10pm during the working days. With such wide opening hours, these young musicians have a real freedom of work.

Students can easily use the following facilities :

  • Common room with kitchenette
  • And quality equipment and instruments, thanks to partnerships established with YAMAHA, TAMA and BAY CUSTOM DRUMS.

The City of Dammarie-Lès-Lys

Between the Seine and the forest of Fontainebleau, the city of Dammarie-lès-Lys is near Melun, prefecture of Seine-et-Marne. This town is located at 46 km south of Paris (Porte d’Orleans). By transilien or RER, it will take you between 35 and 45 minutes to reach the Gare de Lyon in the 12th arrondissement.


The CMDL can connect its future and former students to facilitate their housing research.



This student residence is located at 3, rue Claude Bernard, La Rochette, at 3.5 km from the CMDL. It has 160 furnished rooms from 18 to 20 m2 (T1 or T1 bis), including kitchenette and sanitary.
