— The student is enrolled in two institutions:

  • The CMDL, where he receives almost all his teachings
  • The University of Evry Val d’Essonne, where he takes classes one day a week, to obtain his Bachelor of music.

— This undergraduate degree is awarded after a period of study lasting 6 semesters (3 years).

— This program is designed to articulate both practical, theoretical, cultural and methodological teachings :

At the CMDL – 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday)

Instrument, sight-reading / Ear training / Rhythm / Harmony / Writing, composition, arrangement / Jazz repertoire ensemble/ Original repertoire ensemble / World music ensemble / Big band / Sound engineering / Musical computing / Studio recording / History of jazz music / Knowledge of the professional environment / Master-class / concerts / …

At the University Evry Val d’Essonne – 1 day per week (Wednesday)

English and two musicology learnings

The Bachelor of music allows you:

  • to take the following competitions : IUFM, Capes, Agregation
  • to pursue further studies in higher education (doctorate, PhD…)
  • to work as a professional musician

The candidate must:

    • Hold a diplôme national d’orientation professionnelle de musicien (DNOP) or a diplôme d’études musicales (DEM).*
    • Hold a Baccalaureate or another diploma admitted for dispensation or equivalent. *
    • Be 26 years old or younger (December 31st of the year of the new school year)
    • Not having interrupted his studies for more than 2 years

*You are allowed to fill a derogation request during your online application.

Annual tuition fees for full-time program :

  • 4300 euros for the CMDL
  • 170 euros for The Université d’Evry Val d’Essonne
  • 90 euros for CVEC (Contribution de Vie Étudiante et de Campus)

That is 4560 euros per year.

— Emergency help

The national emergency aid fund provides a rapid response to students’ precarious situations.

There are two types of specific support: one-off assistance for the student who is currently experiencing serious difficulties, or annual assistance to the student who is experiencing long-term difficulties.

  • The links of your video recordings (at least in trio): your interpretation of one of the ten imposed themes and a piece of your choice
  • The scores of the 2 free-choice programs, for the rhythm section (double bass, drums and piano and two scores for the jury), written with a software of musical scores (2 pages max.)
  • 1 online payment will be required, corresponding to the application fee of 70 euros

 

FOR SPECIALS CASES

  • 1 copy of French Baccalaureate or of an equivalent diploma
  • 1 copy of your report card of your Baccalaureate or of your equivalent diploma
  • 1 copy of the school certificate for the current year
  • 1 copy of the report card of your validated Musicology semesters, or a copy of the diploma if obtained
  • 1 copy of the DEM or DNOP, or report card if in process
  • 1 copy of your music school’s certificate
  • 1 copy of DEM or DNOP equivalent music diploma

 

FOR FOREIGN CANDIDATES

  • 1 copy of the equivalent diploma to the French Baccalaureate and report cards, with their official and sworn translation.
  • 1 copy of DEM or DNOP equivalent music diploma equivalent
  • 1 copy of Bachelor of music
  • 1 DAP Receipt from the University (Foreign applicants from outside E.E.E. only)

LIST OF THE 10 IMPOSED PIECES

During the application process, the candidate who do not have a DEM Jazz diploma must indicate a link of a video recording, where he interprets one of the ten imposed themes. The selected candidates to pass the admission tests will then be subjected to the “standard interpretation without score” test. On the D-Day, each candidate will have to interpret, without a score, the piece chosen by the jury, from the list of the 10 themes. It will be accompanied exclusively by the CMDL musicians, without any prior repetition.

The DNSPM allows you to:

The candidate must :

  • Hold a diplôme national d’orientation professionnelle de musicien (DNOP) or a diplôme d’études musicales (DEM). *
  • Be a professional musician: you must justify at least 2 years of work in the profession and 48 gigs for the last two years preceding the application.
  • Have interrupted his studies for more than 2 years.

*You are allowed to fill a derogation request during your online application.

Annual tuition fees: 7000 euros per year.

Depending on the personal situation of the trainee (performer, artist-author, job seeker or others) various funding bodies for continuing education can be contacted. In France, this program is eligible for the CPF (Personal Training Account). We invite you to inquire directly with the AFDAS or the OPCO on which your employer depends. You can also turn to your Region or your Pôle Emploi advisor.

The Afdas
As a training partner for culture, communication, media and leisure professionals, AFDAS offers several financing solutions depending on your status (Skills development plan, CIF, etc.).

Your region
This local authority is mobilized to help young people to train and facilitate their professional integration. Check with your region to find out about the support systems in place.

Pôle Emploi
When the existing funding mechanisms (those of local authorities, OPCOs, etc.) cannot partially or fully support your training project, contact your Pôle Emploi advisor to see if you can benefit from individual assistance. training (AIF) which will help finance the educational costs of your training.
