INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS

As the international dimension has become essential in the training of young musicians, CMDL adheres to the Erasmus Charter, the International Association of Schools of Jazz (IASJ), and the European Association of Conservatoires (AEC). CMDL develops partnerships with the most prestigious international music schools.

European Week

Every year, the CMDL invites an internationally renowned musician-composer and students from various European institutions to work on a “large ensemble” project led by the guest. During this week, professors from these different institutions come to teach at the CMDL.

GO ABROAD

Thanks to ERASMUS exchanges, students enrolled in the DNSPM program or in the Bachelor’s program at CMDL are encouraged to go abroad to complete part of their studies.

 

 

Mobility abroad is allowed starting from the second year of the Bachelor’s program, for either one semester or a full academic year. You must begin preparing your stay one year in advance. Contact the director as soon as you start at CMDL.

 

TUITION WAIVER

European universities and schools apply a tuition fee waiver for students participating in the Erasmus+ program.

 

ERASMUS+ MOBILITY SCHOLARSHIPS

During their stay abroad, students receive an Erasmus+ mobility scholarship, the amount of which depends on several factors (study location, duration, etc.). To ensure all students can spend part of their studies abroad, Europe has implemented an additional scholarship. To check if you are eligible for this additional scholarship, you can download the eligibility conditions here.

 

ECTS

Courses provided by the host institution are part of the ECTS (European Credits Transfer System). The ECTS aims to facilitate the academic recognition of studies abroad. The credit is proportional to the workload required from the student and helps measure the level of studies achieved.
To validate your Erasmus semester, you need 30 ECTS.
