STRINGS, JAZZ AND IMPROVISED MUSIC

This training is based on the learning techniques implemented by Didier Lockwood.

It brings to the student a specific method of work on strings allowing him to master the instrumental technique and to acquire a real artistic dimension in jazz and improvised music.

 

The total duration of the training is 1 year divided into 2 semesters.

Weekly classes are held on Mondays from 10am to 7.30pm, from late September to early June (190h).

 

Training content:

The “Strings, jazz and improvised music” training allows to:

  • Obtain a CMDL certificate.

To attend the “Strings, jazz and improvised music” training, the candidate must:

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • No musical diploma is required.

The cost of the training is 3500€ for one year.

However, if you self-fund your training, the CMDL supports you by lowering tuition fees.

The cost is then 2400€  per year.

Training Funding Devices:
Although this training is not eligible for the CPF (Personnel Training Account), different financing schemes for vocational training may be requested depending on the personal situation of the trainee (artist-performer, artist-author, job seeker or other). We invite you to contact the AFDAS or the OPCO that your employer depends on. You can also turn to your Region or your Employment Advisor.

Your region
This territorial authority is mobilized to help young people to train and facilitate their professional integration. Check with your region to find out what aids are in place.

Employment Division
Where existing financing arrangements (those of local authorities, OPCO, etc.) cannot support your training project, partially or fully, Contact your Employment Division advisor to see if you can benefit from an Individual Training Assistance (AIF) that will help finance the educational costs of your training.
