Presentation of the training
This training is aimed at professional violinists, violists or cellists, pre-professionals, amateurs of good level or teachers, wishing to follow a training in the field of improvisation and jazz. It is based on the learning techniques set up by Didier Lockwood. It provides the trainee with a specific working method for strings allowing him to master the instrumental technique and acquire a real artistic dimension in jazz and improvised music. It allows to discover improvisation or to perfect its practice, to consolidate rhythmic, harmonic and melodic concepts (improvisations, interpretations) and to assimilate a new working method specific to jazz.
Training objectives
At the end of the training, trainees will be able to read a rhythmic grid, recognize intervals and chords, play and improvise on a jazz standard.

Training organization
The total duration of the training is one year divided into two semesters. Weekly classes take place on Mondays during the day, from September to June (144 hours of training). At the end of the training, they will obtain a CMDL certificate
