Course introduction
The trainees meet with the CMDL’s team of referent teachers every month, for an immersive dayon “Improvisation Techniques”. This training allows students to discover improvisation or to enhance its practice, to consolidate rhythmic, harmonic and melodic concepts (improvisations, interpretations) and to assimilate a new working method specific to jazz. At the end of the course, trainees obtain a CMDL certificate.
Course content
- Instrument, improvisation, with CMDL’s referent teachers
- Ear work, with Benoit Sourisse or Frédéric Loiseau
- Rhythm workshop, with André Charlier or Pierre Perchaud
- Group workshops, with CMDL’s referent teachers
Organization of studies
The training takes place during the day, one Tuesday per month, from September to June (63 hours of training).
